Milk chocolate, also known as dark chocolate, is a delicious dark chocolate containing mostly cocoa, sugar and milk fat. This bitter chocolate can be drizzled over cakes, cookies, brownies and other desserts or eaten as it is. The most common type of milk chocolate in several countries, milk chocolate originally only sold as a chocolate bar but has now also come in various other forms. In the United States, milk chocolate bars are generally sweetened with sugar while other versions do not contain any sugar at all.
Another variation of milk chocolate is the milk chocolate white chocolate, which has almost the same flavor and texture as its milk counterpart but does not contain any milk solids at all. This milk chocolate version is preferred by some people because it does not have as much of the “milk chocolate” taste, which is its dark chocolate flavor. The white milk chocolate does not lose its taste and flavor like the milk chocolate version does, but it does not have as much of a nutty or creamy taste that milk chocolate can have either.
Dark chocolate comes in different varieties such as milk chocolate, dark soy, milk, and dark coquettes. Milk chocolate is usually manufactured and sold in larger bottles while coquettes are made from powders and can be compacted into tiny packets. Soy milk chocolate, also known as organic milk chocolate, is produced without any milk powder at all. This type of milk chocolate usually contains sugar and is sweeter than its milk chocolate counterparts. Coquettes can also contain traces of vanilla or nuts. It is recommended that coquettes be consumed with food because it usually contains a high amount of calories, which should be avoided since they are primarily calorie rich.
